Eligibility:
Your return may not be filed electronically by a tax professional if you:
- are claiming the following subtractions on Schedule M, Other Additions and Subtractions for individuals:
- August 1, 1969, valuation limitation amount from Schedule F (Line 22).
- Enterprise zone, River Edge zone and high impact business dividend subtraction amount from Schedule 1299-C (Line 23).
- want to amend or correct a previously filed return,
- claim credit for tax paid to other states on Line 17 other than Missouri, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Michigan, Wisconsin and their local taxing jurisdiction (i.e., city, county) and you are not a full-year Illinois resident,
- claim tax credits from Schedule 1299-C on Line 19, or
- completed Form IL-2210 based on annualized income.
You may not file electronically using Tax-Prep software if you:
- claim recapture of investments tax credits from Schedule 4255, or
- claim pass-through entity payments from Schedule K-1-T or K-1-P.
